Five teens, five futures. Dylan develops a sixth sense that allows him to glimpse another world. Brixney must escape a debtor colony by finding a way to increase the number of hits on her social media feed so she’ll attract corporate sponsorship. Epony goes “High Concept” and poses as an otherworldly being to recapture her boyfriend’s attention. Reef struggles to survive in a city turned virtual gameboard. And Quinn uncovers the alarming secret that links them all. These are stories about a world that is destroying itself, and about the alternate world that might be its saviour. Unless it’s just the opposite.

6 New Deals (Angelini, Cameron, Meyer, Peevyhouse, Schmidt, Stiefvater)

Josephine Angelini‘s Crucible series to Feiwel and Friends (North American rights). The series follows a teenage girl who gets caught in an epic struggle between good and evil when she’s transported to a parallel universe, where witches rule and scientists are burned at the stake by an alternate version of herself.

Sharon Cameron‘s Rook to Scholastic (World Rights). It’s a retelling of The Scarlet Pimpernel, set in the future, which chronicles “a Sunken City gone mad, an unwanted betrothal, and 13 innocents who will die unless a legend can save them.”

Marissa Meyer‘s Heartless (2015) to Feiwel & Friends (World English rights) in a 2-book deal. Heartless is a prequel to Alice in Wonderland, and will deliver the “untold story” of the Queen of Hearts.

Parker Peevyhouse‘s Futures to Kathy Dawson Books, for publication in 2015. A collection of interwoven stories stretching out from the present into the future, as our world collides with a mysterious alternate universe.

Tiffany A. Schmidt‘s Hold Me Like a Breath to Walker & Co. (North American rights). The romantic thriller, loosely based on “The Princess and the Pea,” takes place in a United States in which the major crime families are in the organ replacement business. Main character Penelope is about to get caught in the crossfire as rival families scramble for prominence.

Maggie Stiefvater‘s Sinner to Scholastic, for simultaneous publication in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada on 1st July 2014. A companion to the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy. Everybody thinks they know Cole St. Clair’s story. Stardom. Addiction. Downfall. Disappearance. But only a few people know Cole’s darkest secret – his ability to shift into a wolf. One of these people is Isabel. At one point, they may have even loved each other. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Now Cole is back. Back in the spotlight. Back in the danger zone. Back in Isabel’s life. Can this sinner be saved?
