Did you see Top Gear tonight? That was scary in Alabama, where the petrol station lady called for blokes in a ute (pickup/lorry) to chase the three Englishmen, perhaps beat them up or something. Frightening stuff!

Let’s Talk TV

The Vicar of Dibley is back! Temporarily, that is. Tonight’s hour-long episode was a Christmas special, with its conclusion next week.

I’m not usually one for romance, but I do hope Geraldine and Harry get married. Who’d go to church when you can watch this show instead? ;-) I love it.

Mark Henry once told me a horror story of America trying to remake the show, with Kirstie Alley or someone else in the lead role. I’m very wary of American remakes, but the one they did really well (so I’m told) was Queer as Folk. We never got the British version here in Oz, but we did get the U.S. one, and I’ve been told it was great. (The U.S. one was great; not sure about the UK one).

Anyway, those of you in Oz, be sure to watch the conclusion of The Vicar of Dibley next Wednesday, 8:30PM, on the ABC.

Oh, and Christina – if you’re in Oz on January 7, I think that’s when the next season of Top Gear will be shown. Probably the one where Hamster has his accident.

And Monday’s South Park rerun will be “Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset”. Ever come across a dog who wanted to kill itself? The one in this episode does. More than one dog, actually. But lucky for the “stupid spoiled whore”, there’s always Butters ;-)

And woohoo! I have website visitors from Allen, Texas and Marshall, Minnesota – thanks for dropping by, and therefore making me aware of your towns’ existence. Yeah, I hadn’t heard of them before – me dim ;-)
