I had trouble connecting with The Iron Witch, and unfortunately The Wood Queen doesn’t fare better. Think it’s because I hoped alchemy would be more scientific, but instead it’s more witchcraft/magic. Disappointing. Anyhoo, I’ve come this far, so I may as well check out the trilogy’s closer, The Stone Demon, when it emerges in January/February/April (depending on your country).
