Settling down with an Ethan Banning story is like catching up with an old friend. Though I probably wouldn’t be mates with him in real life – I’m sober, and he’s…not. Ethan’s a douchebag, but I always hope things turn out well for him.
This time around, Ethan’s at the dog track, trying to get some wins to pay off a bloody expensive bar tab. Instead, he gets hooked into a dog-napping scheme.
Since my brother adopted a greyhound this year, I love reading about greyhounds in the newspaper, and thus it’s great to see them in fiction, too. And there is a happy ending – prized hound Finnegan’s Wake is with someone who truly loves him. Aw!
