B0rked

My thumb drive went b0rked this afternoon. It happened when I was trying to copy Borders’s coupon to a file, so I could print off and perhaps shop. But it wouldn’t save. I tried removing the drive, and putting it back. And resetting the computer. None of the files are showing up.

I’ve lost all the changes of made to any of my files since Tuesday (when I last used the other computer. No files on this back room computer; I just use my thumb drive.

I didn’t lose any writing, but I’ve lost the changes to my many lists, which I am constantly updating, several times a day. Tezzy without her fully updated lists is now freaking out.

The Patriarch has lent me a thumb drive to use until my other one works, or until I get a new one. Which probably won’t happen – or at least not until Christmas or my birthday in July. But since the parents are retiring, we won’t have many to spend on expensive things like thumb drives, so…

Sorry for the emo, everyone. You know I try to be cheerful for you, but I’m a whiny brat right now. But I’ll brighten up; I just need some joy and laughter.
